Works to party walls and excavations close to buildings are regulated by the Party Wall etc Act 1996. An appointed surveyor must have a good working knowledge of the Party Wall Act and be experienced in many forms and methods of construction.

Mark West is involved daily in matters arising under the Act in a wide range of projects such as complex deep basement excavations and roof top development as well as more routine matters arising in the extension and alteration of buildings.
